The Halifax District of the Florida Environmental Health Association announces its first annual 2-hour food service, continuing education course for Assisted Living Facility (ALF) administrators, nurses, staff or others interested in food safety. The course will discuss foodborne illness in Long Term Care Facilities, its causes/signs/symptoms and provide tips for outbreak response and control. The course is designed to meet the 2-hour Food Service continuing staff training requirements specified in Chapter 58A-5.0191(6) FAC. The Early bird cost is $37 if registered online or registration form is postmarked by March 17th. Cost increases to $45 for online and postmarked registrations between March 18th and April 9th. This CPO® certification course is designed to provide individuals with the basic knowledge, techniques, and skills of pool and spa operations and meets the requirements of 64E-9.018 FAC.
